The Civic Pub has been the home of some of the biggest comedy nights Canberra has seen since COMEDY ACT started hosting nights there in 2009. It made perfect sense to team up with them for the first ever Canberra Comedy Festival. We are proud to have them as one of our silver sponsors.
The pub has a great little room upstairs that holds about 70 people. During the Festival it will be home to Anthony Tomic, Greg Kimball and Jez Margosis, Luke Bernie, Act Like a Lady, Yianni Agisilaou, Andrew Bensley and Danny Bensley, and Josh Earl.
Please arrive at The Civic Pub at least fifteen minutes before the start of the show you have booked. This will allow enough time for you to be comfortably seated to enjoy the start of the performance.
EATING AND DRINKING
Get a drink and grab some BBQ food at Festival Square in Civic Square before and after the show. It is where the party will be for the entire Canberra Comedy Festival! Open late and plenty on to keep you entertained.
It’s a pub, so of course there are some great options for dining and drinking before and after a show. There is delicious food fare and pub grub as well as a huge selection of local and imported beers.
The Comedy Festival have them on board because we love their delicious range of gourmet dine in and take-away food.
There is not a lot of parking around The Civic Pub itself. However, around Braddon there are a few options and there is also the Canberra Centre car park, which is about a five minute walk away from The Civic Pub.
The Civic Pub is about a five minute walk from the bus interchange in the city. For more information about the ACTION bus service click here.
The Civic Pub is located at 8 Lonsdale Street in Braddon.
