We are now open for receiving expressions of interest to volunteer with the 2026 Canberra Comedy Festival.
Volunteers are an important part of the Festival, assisting our staff with light duties in help making our Festival great!
If you are interested, please put in your expression of interest to become a volunteer at the 2026 Canberra Comedy Festival, 11 – 22 March. We will carefully consider each EOI and try and make a position available for you so you can be a part of the fun! We will try and make sure you see some shows as part of the gig and you get a famous ‘festival pink’ t-shirt and festival cap.
Shifts are generally between 6pm and 10pm. The main volunteering role is ‘ushering’ which can involve duties like:
· checking ticket validity
· ushering people to their seats
· venue clean-up between shows
· stocking the green room
· setting and moving seating
We may consider you for some contracted roles like bar staff if you have experience and suitable qualifications like an Responsible Service Alcohol certificate.
In February we will go through the EOIs. We will let you know whether we can take you through to the next stage which involves induction and signing a volunteer agreement.
