By purchasing a ticket to a Canberra Comedy Festival event, through an third party ticketing provider, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these terms and conditions in addition to the authorised provider’s terms and conditions.
These Terms and Conditions incorporate the Live Performance Australia Code of Ticketing Practice – Consumer Code (LPA Code), which sets out a code of conduct for the sale of tickets to live events including consumer rights. However, Live Performance Australia is not associated with the Canberra Comedy Festival. You are advised that Live Performance Australia will not accept a referral of a complaint involving this event. You can find the LPA Code here.
Tickets are only valid if purchased through a ticketing provider listed in clause 1 and authorised to sell tickets for an event, or at the Venue. Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Canberra Comedy Festival, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
Once your ticket purchase is confirmed, your ticket and any transaction fees will not be refunded or exchanged, except as provided for the in the LPA Code or as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law) (a refund will be provided where the event is cancelled or where you cannot attend a rescheduled event). Refunds or partial refunds will not be given as a result of a special offer or the non-use of applicable discounts prior to completing the ticket purchase.
For tickets purchased through Trybooking, refund enquiries are to be directed to the ticketing support team at ticketing@canberracomedyfestival.com.au. For tickets purchased through other ticketing suppliers, the enquiries are to be directed to those suppliers.
All prices quoted are in Australian dollars and include GST. Your ticket is a tax invoice.

A transaction fee may apply to your purchase. The amount is determined by the ticketing provider.
You warrant that you have the authority to make payment for your ticket and that you own/hold or have express permission of the owner/holder of the credit card or other payment facility used to purchase the ticket.
Any information collected about you through the ticket sale, and provided to the Canberra Comedy Festival, will be used and disclosed in accordance with the Canberra Comedy Festival's privacy policy.
Where you have opted in to receive direct marketing, your data may be shared with the performer(s) you are seeing and their agents (and others if specified) for the purpose of receiving direct marketing material.
Your image and voice may be captured in photograph and/or film by persons working or volunteering for the Festival photographers and used in Social and other Media.
All ticket holders must be 13 years or older unless the performance is explicitly described as suitable for children under 13. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to any performance that is open to children.
Attendance at the event, and the right of admission, is reserved by the Venue in addition to the Canberra Comedy Festival. By attending an event, you agree to the Festival’s and the Venue’s conditions of entry. You should familiarise yourself with any conditions of entry notified on the website for the venue for your show.
This ticket is proof of purchase of the above event and must be presented at the time of admission.
Entry may be refused if ticket purchases are incomplete or are not purchased from Canberra Comedy Festival or other authorised points of sale.
Subject to applicable laws, Canberra Comedy Festival reserves the right to refuse entry or to require a person to leave the premises at any time. This includes any persons who do not comply with the Festival’s or the Venue’s conditions of entry. It includes persons who are noisy, appear drunk or affected by drugs, are threatening or unruly or otherwise obstruct the enjoyment of the show by others. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded in these circumstances, unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law).
It may be a condition of entry to individual events that ID is required to be produced to the Canberra Comedy Festival or associated staff members. Where concessions are available, suitable ID must be produced for admission.
Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable break in the performance.
The use of photographic or recording devices of any kind is not permitted, unless otherwise expressly authorised by Canberra Comedy Festival and the Venue. Any authorisation may be revoked at any time at the sole discretion of the Canberra Comedy Festival, the Venue or a performer at the event.
Bags and possessions may be inspected prior to admission. Bags of a certain size may not permitted inside the performance area.
All persons entering the venue enter at their own risk and must comply with the reasonable directions of staff at the venue.
By attending the event and/or the Venue, you accept the risk of damage and loss (including property damage, personal injury, economic and consequential loss) howsoever arising (including by negligence) at the Venue. This includes damage or loss caused by the acts or omissions of other ticketholders, visitors, guests, and the employees and agents of Canberra Canberra Comedy Festival and the Venue.
Before purchasing a ticket, you should familiarise yourself with the type of show, and the performer(s), where possible, that you are going to see to ensure the content is suitable for you and any other persons you are purchasing tickets for.
Most Canberra Comedy Festival shows are considered unsuitable for young children (unless specifically designated as a “Kids Show”). Parents or guardians should make reasonable enquiries to inform themselves about content and suitability of Canberra Comedy Festival shows for children, and it is the parents’ or guardians’ responsibility to ensure the show is appropriate for children attending in their care.
Unless an arrangement is in place between the Canberra Comedy Festival and a performer to deliver specified content, the content of each show has been determined by the performer(s) themselves and not by the Canberra Comedy Festival. Canberra Comedy Festival has no control over, or liability for, the content or delivery of the performance by the performer(s). All complaints and claims, and your legal rights, with respect to the content and delivery of the performance are against the performer(s), not Canberra Comedy Festival, except where Canberra Comedy Festival is at fault or where you have a legal right against Canberra Comedy Festival under the Australian Consumer Law.
Canberra Comedy Festival reserves the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and / or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity.
To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), Canberra Comedy Festival is not liable to you for any loss, damage, injury, delays, additional expenses or inconvenience arising as a result of your ticket purchase, attendance or non-attendance at the Venue and/or the event. Where liability cannot be excluded or modified by law, including pursuant to the Australian Consumer Law, the liability of Canberra Comedy Festival is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
Subject to clause 29 , Canberra Comedy Festival’s liability for any breach of such condition or warranty will be limited, at its sole discretion, to the resupply of the services or the cost of having the services supplied again.
